Dear Participants of COE'2020

The latest months were very challenging for all of us, the unexpected COVID-19 pandemic changed our lives including private and academic/industrial activities.
In some cases, the conference events that we have known before COVID-19 will probably never return, but life goes on as well as the COE’2020 conference.

We are glad to inform you that the COE’2020 conference will be organized as a virtual conference, please save the dates September 27 - 29.2021.

The system for submission and registration will be launched soon, and you will be informed.

See you online,

Chair of COE’2020
Katarzyna Zakrzewska

It is my great pleasure to announce that the 16th International Conference on Optical and Electronic Sensors COE'2020 will be held in Kraków, Poland on 27- 29 September 2021 under the auspices of the President of AGH University of Science and Technology, Professor Tadeusz Słomka. Three faculties of AGH-UST will be involved in the organization of the conference, i.e., the Faculty of Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications, Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics, as well as Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Automatics, Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering. According to a long established tradition, the Polish Society of Sensors, PTTS will provide a scientific patronage  of COE’2020.

COE is a cyclical event, held every two years. Since 2016,  it has gained the status of the international conference. The approaching 16th edition of COE was entrusted to the scientific community of Kraków due to the well-recognized achievements in the field of the sensors.

The scope of the Conference covers the most important issues: microcontrollers, micro- and nanosystems, including MEMS, MOEMS, RF MEMS, NEMS, sensor networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), biosensors, electrochemical, chemical, optical and magnetic sensors, sensors for medical applications, etc. The invitation to participate in this event is addressed to the members of the scientific community representing many disciplines in the hope that the conference will serve as a broad forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences. The best papers presented at the conference will be published in Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering, Measurement Science and Technology, Sensors, and Coatings.

The Polish Sensor Society (PTTS), which since its creation in 1992 is closely attached to the COE conference, is an association not limited to the representatives of the sensor community of Poland. The international collaboration of PTTS is widely documented and highly appreciated. The policy of the society is to be open to initiatives from the economic environment and it favors especially the activity of ambitious young people who declare their willingness to carry out research in this area. Detailed information on the activities of the PTTS and previous editions of COE can be found at http://ptts. pl

On behalf of the Scientific Committee, Organizing Committee of COE’2020 and myself, I cordially invite you to participate in the
16th International Conference on Optical and Electronic Sensors COE'2020.
I hope to see you on line in September 2021.
